Yūra

By reputation Yūra is diligent and devoted, forever pushing fresh strategies meant to better the village. His allegiance runs two ways: a fierce commitment to Sunagakure that, once Sasori's conditioning wakes, extends just as strongly to Sasori. The anime sharpens his treacherous streak, showing him back Gaara's rise to Kazekage out in the open while quietly feeding his rivals hints on how to have the young leader assassinated.

Yūra ranks among Sunagakure's stronger shinobi, a jonin seated on its council. Sasori picked him as a sleeper agent with reason, a choice borne out when Yūra alone destroys the whole detachment guarding the village gate, even though numerous other jonin and Anbu stand among the defenders.

For four years Yūra earns a trusted seat on the Kazekage's advisory council, all while secretly serving Sasori, his loyalty rewired by the Memory-Concealing Manipulative Sand Technique. When Gaara becomes Kazekage, Yūra outlines the early Chunin Exams to the Suna Council, then privately nudges the dissenters to stage Gaara's death as an accident in the deadly Demon Desert. As Deidara nears the village, Sasori triggers the buried memories, and Yūra turns on the gate guards, cutting them down so the two Akatsuki can slip inside. Pain later offers him up to fuel the Shapeshifting Technique, remaking him into a double of Itachi Uchiha who faces off against Chiyo and Team Kakashi. In the end Naruto himself brings Yūra down with the Big Ball Rasengan, and Zetsu devours what remains, leaving Yūra the sole foe Naruto ever kills in the canon story.
