Zaji

Zaji wears jaw-length brown hair that hangs down around either side of his face, above dark eyes. His outfit is the usual Konoha shinobi gear, flak jacket and sandals included, topped by the forehead protector issued to the Allied Shinobi Forces.

Supremely sure of himself, Zaji rarely stops boasting about what he can do. He tends to act on impulse, leaping in before he has thought a situation through. Ittan chalks this up to inexperience and lingering naivety rather than real skill.

As a sensor, Zaji can pick out a person by their chakra within a set distance of himself. In the anime he leans on this from the back lines, supporting allies at range and mixing in close-quarters tactics, at one point blowing off Pakura's left arm. During the Fourth Shinobi World War he is assigned to the Surprise Attack Division as its sensor, paired with Hoheto Hyūga on surveillance. When something jams his sensing, he still detects an approach and rushes out, only to be seized as a hostage by the puppet-controlled Muta; Kankurō yanks him clear of the resulting explosion with chakra threads. He later warns the group of Shin's aerial attack, and after the division presses on, he lights a flare to signal Kakashi and the Third Division during the clash with the reincarnated Zabuza, Haku, Gari, and Pakura.
