Summary

Naruto shares a meal with an elderly man named Gennō, who has arrived in Konoha claiming to be a carpenter helping with the village's reconstruction. After dark, the man slips away carrying stolen documents and appears to detonate himself in a suicide bombing, leaving behind a warning that the village faces destruction.

With the threat looming, the Konoha 11 are ordered to dig into Gennō's movements. The situation turns on Naruto, however, when the Anbu detain him for questioning, alleging that he was tied to the theft of the plans and the culprit's escape.
