Summary

After leading the group to Orochimaru's hideout, Sasame is sent back to the village because the danger runs too high. Jiraiya summons Gamakichi to scout ahead, and the party reaches a fork of three tunnels. Jiraiya takes the right passage, where a young woman with a musical instrument lures and traps him.

Naruto and Sakura press down the middle route, but Naruto triggers a trap and is pinned underwater beneath a heavy slab, unable to climb free. Sakura, set on reaching Sasuke, continues alone into a long corridor, while Gamakichi takes the left path and later reunites with Naruto. Entering a bare, empty chamber, Sakura comes face to face with Kabuto and Orochimaru, who already hold the upper hand, and her attempt to slip past Kabuto fails.
