Raging Tailed Beast

With Sasori gone, Deidara gains a new partner in Tobi, and the pair set off after the Three-Tailed Turtle. At the water's edge, Yūkimaru pours out his chakra to call the beast forth, and Kabuto crows that everything is unfolding as intended. Deep in the trees, Rinji's bats warn him that trackers are closing in, so Kihō fires a screen of smoke from his Wrist Launcher to scatter them. Sensing the enormous power welling up from the lake, Kakashi peels Naruto away from the main group and trusts his knack for improvisation to carry him there alone.

Drained past his limit, Yūkimaru collapses, and Kabuto tells Guren to pin the tailed beast down. Backed by Gozu, she layers on her crystal techniques and finally locks the turtle inside her Jade Crystal Wall Eighth Formation. Naruto, meanwhile, tumbles off a ledge into the lake and calls up Gamatatsu and Gamakichi to keep from drowning. Ferried across the surface, the three reach the encased monster, and Gamakichi nervously names it the Three-Tailed Turtle. Spotting the unconscious Yūkimaru, Naruto grasps that the boy's whole world had been Guren and Kabuto. The instant the beast brushes against him, it splinters its prison and goes berserk.

On the shore, Hinata's Byakugan catches Guren's squad lining up an aerial strike, and she, Sakura, and Sai turn it back, driving the team into retreat. Kakashi feels the tide shift as the rampage sends a wall of water rolling toward them. Guren's own attack on the turtle fails, and Yūkimaru tears free of his exhaustion to seize control of it once more to shield her. Both plunge into the lake before Guren pulls them out and carries her to the bank, where the boy vows that this time it will be his hands holding hers.
