Terror: Steaming Danger Tyranny

The Onoki before the Second Mizukage turns out to be a sand duplicate, and the rising sand nearly seals the reincarnated Kage. Before the tags can fully take hold, Gaara's Desert Layered Imperial Funeral bursts apart and the Mizukage's looming face materializes in the sky. As hail begins to fall, Onoki clarifies that this is no genjutsu but the Second's Steaming Danger Tyranny. A small, cartoonish clone takes shape and rounds on the Fourth Division, prompting Gaara to hunt down the real Mizukage, whom the Tsuchikage notes was left badly drained by casting the technique.

Gaara locates his foe and moves to seal him at once, but the clone tears the seals off the sand pyramid before they can set. Emerging from atop the pyramid through his Hydrification Technique, the Second greets his opponents calmly, then ducks away from a hail of shuriken. He declares he will no longer explain how his jutsu work, reasoning that anyone unable to beat him stands no chance against the enemy's leader. Shielding his division from another blast, Gaara confronts the clone directly and finally subdues it by smothering it in hail-cooled sand mixed with his father's gold dust, freezing its motion and preventing its explosion.

Impressed, the Second beams that Gaara and Naruto Uzumaki, newly arrived on the field, form a fine pairing, and before his sealing he proclaims he has found the golden egg among the current Kage. Elsewhere, it comes to light that Mu had divided himself in two before being sealed, and with his other half beyond reach, Kabuto Yakushi weighs how to buy the time needed to summon his ultimate card. Across the front, the alliance grinds to a halt against White Zetsu Army clones slipping into its ranks, most alarmingly at the Logistical Support and Medical Division.

Onoki's sand clone nearly seals the Second Mizukage, who counters with his Steaming Danger Tyranny, spawning an exploding clone that attacks the Fourth Division. Gaara pursues the weakened Mizukage and stops the clone by encasing it in hail-cooled sand and his father's gold dust. The Second praises Gaara and Naruto before being sealed. Mu is revealed to have split in two, leaving Kabuto scheming to summon his trump card, while White Zetsu clones infiltrate the alliance.

This is the 302nd episode of Naruto: Shippuden, part of the Fourth Shinobi World War: Confrontation arc and adapting chapters 556 through 558. It also carries the alternate title Terror: The Steam Imp. The episode aired in Japan on 28 February 2013 and in English on 11 July 2015, with the opening theme If and the ending theme Goodbye Memory. Its trivia notes that Mangetsu Hozuki is shown here with purple irises, despite earlier appearing with the white eyes of a reincarnated fighter whose personality has been erased.
