A Sunagakure unit of elite puppet masters active during the wartime era, fielding many puppets built by Sasori. Their pursuit of a jutsu to bring puppets to life produced a forbidden technique so costly that the village shut the research down.
The Puppet Brigade was a Sunagakure organisation that operated at least as far back as the Second Shinobi World War. It is understood to have gathered the Sand village's finest puppeteers into a single fighting corps, known in some translations as the Puppet Master Corps. Many of the puppets the brigade fielded were the handiwork of Sasori, whose creations supplied the unit with its weapons.
During the war years, the brigade set out to develop a method that would grant its puppets genuine life, reasoning that living puppets would prove far more effective in combat. Chiyo eventually succeeded in devising such a technique, One's Own Life Reincarnation, but its cost proved unacceptable: bringing a puppet to life demanded the life of the user in exchange. Deeming the price far too steep, the village classified the jutsu as forbidden and shut down the research entirely.
Chiyo stands as the brigade's leader and the mind behind its abandoned life-granting technique. Sasori is closely tied to the unit as the maker of many puppets it used in battle. Comparable elite squads existed in other nations, among them the Kinkaku Force of Kumogakure, the Twelve Guardian Ninja of the Land of Fire, the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of Kirigakure, and Iwagakure's Explosion Corps.

We ranked the six most popular women of Naruto from worst to first, and our number one is going to start a fight. The official poll got it wrong....

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....
The Puppet Brigade's most notable figures are Chiyo, who led the unit, and Sasori, whose creations supplied many of the puppets the brigade used in battle.

During the war years, Puppet Brigade leader Chiyo developed a technique called One's Own Life Reincarnation, which could grant a puppet genuine life. The village banned the jutsu once it discovered that using it demanded the life of its user in exchange.
Sunagakure deemed the Puppet Brigade's life-granting technique too costly to use, since bringing a puppet to life required sacrificing the user's own life. The village classified the jutsu as forbidden and ended the research entirely.
Comparable elite squads in other nations include the Kinkaku Force of Kumogakure, the Twelve Guardian Ninja of the Land of Fire, the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of Kirigakure, and Iwagakure's Explosion Corps.
