Summary
Kankurō lies beaten, his puppets in pieces. He tries one final strike at Sasori, but the puppeteer, who crafted those very puppets long ago, halts him with ease. Having slipped poison into him during the fight, Sasori departs with Deidara, certain Kankurō has only three days left. Kankurō blacks out and is recovered by a Sunagakure backup unit. Their medical ninja cannot heal him, though they do determine that his wounds were Sasori's work. Over in Konoha, Team 7 gets ready to set off, and before they go Jiraiya speaks with Naruto, warning him against relying on that technique. On the road to the Sand the group runs into Temari, who is also making her way home.
