Team Shira was a Sunagakure genin unit made up of Shira, Yome, and Sen. They competed in the joint Leaf-Sand Chunin Exams, and although they fell short on scrolls, a rules change gave Shira a path to promotion before the group eventually split apart.
Fielded by the Hidden Sand, this genin group brought together three members: Shira, Yome, and Sen. They took part in the Chunin Exams that the Leaf and Sand villages co-hosted.
During the survival portion the team failed to collect the pair of scrolls normally required to move on. A last-minute revision to the rules reopened the door for them, and Shira earned his promotion to chunin as a result. Whether Yome and Sen received the same recognition was never confirmed.
Shira is the standout figure and the reason the squad carries his name. Not long after the exams wrapped, the group formally disbanded. Shira and Yome departed together to sign on with a special battalion posted near the northern edge of the Land of Wind, while Sen stayed behind as the lone member to remain in the Sand village.
