Himmel was the hero who led the party that slew the Demon King and ushered in an age of peace. Charming, brave, and a touch vain about his looks, he left so deep a mark that his death set Frieren on her long journey to finally understand the people he loved.
Himmel was a blue-haired human with light blue eyes and a small mole beside his left one, and he never tired of calling himself handsome or fussing over his looks. His everyday outfit paired a fitted blue tunic with white trousers and black boots beneath a long beige cloak that fell to his ankles, a white belt at his waist holding the white-sheathed sword he carried. Boyhood saw him in a plain tunic; old age shrank the once-tall hero into a stooped figure smaller than Frieren, bald and full-bearded, leaning on a stout cane in a long belted shirt and blue mantle.
The blade itself was no more than a copy of the Sword of the Hero, won as thanks after the young Himmel rescued a peddler near his home. He once tried to claim the genuine weapon lodged in stone near the Village of the Sword and could not budge it, yet common rumor across the continent insisted his replica was the real thing. It stayed at his side for life and was apparently buried with him. He also kept a diary of the small moments of the party's travels; lost along the way, it later surfaced in a monastery on a Lake Korridor island, where Frieren's group recovered it and Frieren kept it for herself.
Easygoing and warm, Himmel made friends without effort and forged bonds that stuck. The drive to shield others had pushed him to become a hero in the first place, and the lengths he went to for strangers stayed with his companions, nudging them toward the same kindness long after he was gone. People he helped came to revere him, their devotion outliving him by decades. He was not above a little vanity either, cheerfully insisting he was good-looking and tending his appearance even in old age, and he happily sat for the many statues sculptors made of him, needling them by shifting his pose again and again.
Himmel fought as a swordsman of blinding speed and unusually sharp perception. The hero's blade was a mere replica, but his skill let him stand against fearsome foes and ultimately bring down the Demon King, and as the party's leader he set its tactics besides. He was shrewder than he appeared, sensing that Frieren outclassed every mage he had met even though Heiter's mana reportedly dwarfed hers fivefold at first meeting. His strikes landed with startling force and quickness, trailing light in their wake; his speed once let him fell a hostage-taking demon and snatch the captive girl free before the creature could move. His senses ran so keen that, ensnared in Grausam's illusion, he alone realized the deception and went on trading blows with the demon by tracking its breath and motion.

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....

Five Bleach female characters, ranked and settled. Yoruichi sits at number five, the spot nobody expects, and our number one is an Arrancar with a soft heart....

No. Himmel is deceased; he lived into old age and died decades after the Hero Party's journey, and that loss is what sends Frieren traveling at the start of the story.
