Satsuki Sohma

Youthful for an adult, Satsuki has fair skin and a build of average height. Round, light-green eyes sit beneath long, wavy hair of a pale shade that spills to her upper back, and she tends to wear simple, frilled long dresses.

Bright and warm-hearted, Satsuki nonetheless carries a sharp intuition, catching more of Hiro's tender spots than he suspects. She is also famously clumsy and absent-minded, so much so that Hiro half expects her to tumble down a staircase, and she once mistook a pregnancy for a cold. The dynamic flips the usual roles, with Hiro fretting over her like a weary parent while she cheerfully plays along. Among the mothers of zodiac-possessed children she stands apart, loving Hiro with no trace of shame or overprotectiveness.

While Satsuki is expecting her daughter, she goes for checkups with the family physician Hatori Sohma, a fact Shigure spins into a false rumor that the two are a couple before Hatori sets the record straight. She phones Hiro at the Sohma cottage to tell him she is carrying Hinata. After the birth, she offers to let Hiro hold the baby; when he refuses for fear of transforming, she promises she will simply hold them both. Once home she reports that the whole household adores their new arrival and that Hiro has grown into a dependable big brother. The morning she finds him embracing Hinata without changing shape, she realizes his curse has broken, and seeing how conflicted he feels, she wraps both children in her arms and assures him that every feeling he has, good or bad, is valid.
