Amue Armstrong

As an Armstrong, Amue is a mountain of a woman, standing tall and heavily muscled. She and her younger sister Strongine both rise more than a head above their eldest sister Olivier, who is the second shortest of the siblings. She carries the bloodline's signature curled forelock and the faint, almost eerie sparkle of pride that hovers around every member of the family.

The source develops Amue very little on her own, presenting her instead through the qualities shared across her house. Like the rest of the Armstrongs she is fiercely honorable and openly, theatrically proud of the family name, embodying the inherited glow of pride rather than any distinct personal role in the plot.

Amue is the second-born of Philip Gargantos Armstrong's five children, placed between the eldest, Olivier Mira Armstrong, and the third daughter, Strongine. She barely features in the adaptations. She is omitted entirely from the 2003 anime and appears in the 2009 series only as a single wordless cameo in Episode 38, Conflict at Baschool, glimpsed unnamed during one of Yoki's flashbacks. She is also absent from the Chuang Yi English manga, which dropped the In Memoriam pages where the Armstrong family portrait normally appears.
