Charlie is an infantry sergeant from the eastern reaches of Amestris who fought through the Ishval war. A steadfast supporter of Roy Mustang, he answers the call again years later, playing a key part in the coup Mustang launches against the corrupt leadership in Central.
Charlie's look changes with the medium. In the original manga he wears close-cropped lines shaved into his hair, while the 2009 anime restyles those markings as lightning-bolt streaks. Otherwise he carries himself as a rank-and-file East Area infantryman in standard Amestrian military dress.
Loyalty defines Charlie. His years of devotion to Mustang stem from watching how the then-officer shielded his men on the battlefield, and that admiration keeps him in the colonel's corner long after the war. He is equally a committed family man, and when the fighting turns dangerous he is willing to accept a way out so he can make it home to his wife in the east.
Charlie serves in the eastern theater of the Ishval conflict as an enlisted man beneath then-Major Mustang. Once the long campaign ends, he seeks his commander out to thank him for shielding the soldiers under him, describing the pillar of flame that led each of their marches as a symbol of trust that pushed the infantry forward without fear, even though Mustang never knew their names.
Seven years on, Charlie is still stationed in the East Area under Lieutenant General Grumman. When word spreads that Mustang intends to overthrow the rotten government in the capital, he and his comrades eagerly rejoin the fight. Charlie triggers the coup's opening move by blowing up the bridge King Bradley is crossing, then races to Central as reinforcement. There he heads a second unit that cuts down the Central troops closing in on Mustang, telling the wounded enemy that a Fort Briggs squad would simply have finished them off. Devoted as he is, Charlie remains a family man, accepting Mustang's offer to slip away if things sour so he can get back to his wife.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....
