Fletcher Tringham is the gentle younger half of a pair of brothers who chase their late father's alchemical research. Exclusive to the 2003 anime and its source light novel, he impersonates Alphonse Elric alongside his bolder sibling Russell.
Fletcher is a boy of roughly twelve, the younger of the two Tringham siblings. Because the brothers pass themselves off as the Elrics, he takes on the identity of Alphonse Elric, slipping into the role of Al's civilian stand-in.
Fletcher is the gentler and more conscientious of the Tringham pair. He is uneasy about the deception his brother leads them into, hesitant to pass himself off as someone else, though Russell waves his worries aside with the claim that nobody will mind. That mild, agreeable nature is why he and the real Alphonse Elric hit it off so easily, a sharp contrast to the constant squabbling between Edward and Russell. Above all, Fletcher is driven by devotion to his late father's legacy and the wish to see his research through.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....
Fletcher and his elder brother Russell are the sons of the renowned alchemist Nash Tringham, a pair carried over into the 2003 anime from the light novel The Land of Sand. Together they set out to complete their father's studies into red water, a poisonous liquid that carries alchemical properties. To reach the materials and restricted sites open only to State Alchemists, the brothers pose as Edward and Alphonse Elric, a scheme Fletcher goes along with reluctantly. The ruse nearly gets them executed late in the series; once they are rescued, they turn to helping the real Edward dig into the secret of the homunculi. Both brothers favor alchemy rooted in plants, and it is Fletcher who settles into the calmer role beside Alphonse while their siblings clash.
