History

Garfiel owns and operates Atelier Garfiel in Rush Valley, a settlement built around automail craftsmanship, and he is a gifted engineer in his own right. He features only in the manga and the 2009 anime, having been left out of the 2003 adaptation. When Dominic sends Winry his way, Garfiel is only too glad to take the girl on as his live-in student. Years later, the anime's closing chapter places him and Paninya in the Elric family photograph, a small sign that the family stayed close to them, whether by settling in Rush Valley for Winry's career or simply visiting.
