Appearance

Waves of black hair spilling past her waist frame a tall, pale figure whose slender build carries a striking, curvaceous shape. Her eyes are a mauve shade that can read as red in certain light, and the Ouroboros crest shared by every Homunculus sits over her sternum. She favors a snug, strapless black gown cut low at the chest and dropping nearly to her ankles, worn with heeled boots and long gloves edged in red. The outfit is not really clothing at all but part of her body, reforming with her flesh whenever she is wounded, and in public she sometimes throws a fur coat over it to blur her identity. Under the alias Solaris she trades the revealing dress for a more buttoned-up purple one with a high mandarin collar reminiscent of a cheongsam, its long sleeves standing in for her usual gloves.

Personality

Despite the name, what drives Lust is bloodlust far more than sexual desire. She is the most sadistic of her siblings, taking open pleasure in drawing out an opponent's suffering, as she does against Roy Mustang and Jean Havoc inside Laboratory 3. She is also the sharpest planner among the Homunculi, steering their schemes while Father is absent and showing enough patience to scold Envy over the reckless Maria Ross affair. Fully conscious of her allure, she wields it to bend weak-willed people to her purpose, all while regarding humanity as fragile, predictable, and foolish, and feeling no guilt over the lives she ruins.

For all that contempt, she is the most sociable of her kind, loyal to Father, almost maternal toward Gluttony, and comfortable in Envy's company. Even at the end she stays true to that cruel streak, thanking Mustang for the craft and ferocity with which he destroys her while wishing that his own eyes will one day be clouded with agony, a parting curse that proves oddly prophetic.

Abilities

Being an artificial human frees Lust from hunger, sleep, and aging while granting strength and durability beyond any person. Wounds that would kill a human, from gunfire to having her body torn apart, close almost instantly, and because her Philosopher's Stone serves as her core, even tearing it out fails to finish her, as her flesh simply gathers back around it. That healing has a limit, though, since each death drains the stone until nothing is left. Her signature technique, the Ultimate Spear, lets her stretch her fingertips into slender, whip-like claws keen enough to slice through nearly any material at what looks like limitless reach, striking and withdrawing so fast the motion goes unseen, as when she runs Cornello through. They are not invincible, however, and Alphonse's thick armor can slow their advance to a crawl. Paired with these lethal blades is a beauty so far beyond the ordinary that she uses it as a tool, moving quietly through the country to lure vain, weak-hearted targets into ruin.
