Mrs. Bradley

A woman of middling years, likely somewhere in her mid-forties, Mrs. Bradley is of average build with fair skin and gentle green eyes framed by the soft creases of a habitual smile. Her bistre-brown hair sits gathered in a rounded ponytail. She favors a red-violet coat over a lavender, tulip-necked blouse and a long matching skirt, rounding out the look with black pumps and a set of pearl jewelry.

Trusting and affectionate, she has no inkling that Wrath and Pride, the pair she knows as her husband and adopted son, plot to help their creator seize the world. Her scenes lean toward comic relief as she cheerfully recounts family life and her romance with the Führer. Tellingly, she is the one human Wrath seems to genuinely care for, and even Pride grows fond of the mother figure he never thought he would have.

Roy Mustang abducts her by night, meaning no harm but hoping to hold the Führer's wife as leverage against Central during his uprising. When Brigadier General Klemin orders everyone but Mustang killed, herself included, she begins to doubt her husband's feelings and her whole life. Taken to a radio station by Maria Ross, Kain Fuery and Heymans Breda, she tells the nation of the attempt on her life, then nearly faints on hearing that Bradley perished in a train explosion.

News of his return to Central relieves her, but Father soon triggers the nationwide circle and her soul is drawn out, only for Hohenheim's countermeasure to bring her back. In the aftermath Edward hands the beaten Pride to her and she dissolves into tears. Two years on she is seen sharing tea with the new Führer Grumman and a toddler Pride once again called Selim, resolved to raise him as her own and leaving Grumman to wonder whether Homunculi and humans might ever coexist. Whether she ever learned her husband's true nature is left unsaid.
