Dayakka Littner

Three separate designs chart Dayakka's journey through the series. One belongs to the campaign against the Beastmen, a second reflects the seven years that pass before the Anti-Spiral conflict begins, and the third is the Super Galaxy Team Dai-Gurren uniform he wears during the voyage beyond Earth.

Hospitality defines Dayakka's first scenes: strangers arriving at his village receive shelter without question. He follows causes rather than starting them, joining the uprising only after Team Gurren's string of victories convinces him the surface can be won. Devotion to family anchors his later years. He walks away from a government ministry the moment his wife and newborn daughter need protecting, and even his signature battle move carries a tribute to Kiyoh in its name.

As chief of Littner Village, Dayakka greets Kamina and Simon when his friend Yoko brings them home. He fights against Viral's Enki, gets pinned down until Kamina bails him out in the Gurren, and watches the first combination that creates Gurren Lagann. Inspired by Team Gurren's momentum, he seizes a Gunman of his own, names it Dayakkaiser, and pulls Kamina and Simon out of danger during the assault on Thymilph's Dai-Gunzan. With Littner's women and children under the care of Giha Village's chief, he commits fully to the war, noting that Gurren Lagann has grown into a symbol for all of humanity.

Once the stolen flagship is rechristened Dai-Gurren, Dayakka takes its helm and hands the Dayakkaiser to Kiyoh, commanding the ship through the fall of Lordgenome.

In the years after Teppelin's collapse he serves Kamina City as Minister of Food Affairs and starts a family with Kiyoh. Their daughter's birth pushes humanity past one million people, tripping the Anti-Spirals' extermination protocol. Dayakka resigns, evacuates his family aboard the Arc-Gurren, and eventually resumes command aboard the flagship Super Galaxy Dai-Gurren. Trapped in the Anti-Spiral's dimensional labyrinth, he works a bakery alongside Gimmy and Darry before Simon frees them all. He joins the fusion into Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann and, unleashing his I've-Got-The-Best-Wife-In-The-Universe Swing, hooks an anchor around the Granzeboma and flings it clear of Earth. He attends Simon and Nia's wedding, and the story records nothing of him afterward. Among the pilots who hijacked Gunmen in Kamina's wake, he alone survives to the finale.
