The name given to life that carries the power of evolution itself. Spiral beings channel Spiral Power through their helical DNA, a potential so limitless that an entire opposing order, the Anti-Spirals, exists solely to keep them suppressed.
Spirals, also called Spiral beings, are entities that hold the energy of evolution known as Spiral Power. The energy resides in anything built on a helix, from the double strands of DNA up to whole galaxies coiled into spiral arms. It multiplies a being's potential without apparent ceiling, and it comes with a temperament: Spirals are recognizable by an almost blind compulsion to keep fighting, growing, and evolving no matter what surrounds them.
That boundless potential terrified the galaxy's other races. A coalition calling itself the Anti-Spirals formed against them, fought the Spirals in open war, and won, driving the survivors back to their homeworlds, Earth among them.
Victory was followed by containment. On any planet where a Spiral life-form signature was detected, the Anti-Spirals installed an annihilation system keyed to population. Once the number of beings living above ground passed a set threshold, the machinery activated and wiped out whatever Spiral life the world held. Earth's system was Cathedral Terra, hidden in plain sight as the moon and programmed to fall onto the planet the moment the human population reached one million.
Humanity stands at the tip of Spiral progression on Earth, which is why the Anti-Spirals aimed their harshest safeguard at the species. More broadly, every organism whose genetic code winds into a double helix qualifies as a Spiral being, making the classification one of the widest in the setting.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....

Yes. The Anti-Spirals are a coalition that formed against the Spirals, defeated them in an ancient war, and now suppress surviving Spiral worlds like Earth to keep them from growing too powerful.
Humanity sits at the tip of Spiral progression on Earth in the setting's classification, and since any organism with helical DNA qualifies as a Spiral being, a human like Simon belongs to that group.
Spirals are marked by an almost blind compulsion to keep fighting, growing, and evolving no matter what surrounds them, and their boundless potential is what made other races fear them.
Cathedral Terra, Earth's Anti-Spiral annihilation system hidden as the moon, is programmed to fall onto the planet the moment the human population above ground reaches one million.
