Wandering the wastelands in Enkidu, Viral comes across a green Gunman shaped like an enormous pachinko machine. Fiddling with a dial on its frame sends silver balls rattling through pegs and wheels, and when one drops into the right slot, a bank of reels lights up in the machine's chest, each reel numbered one through nine and illustrated with faces from the series. After many tries, Viral nearly lines up a row of Adiane's twos; the middle reel stalls on a one until a small miracle, seemingly Adiane's own intervention, nudges it into place. He climbs out to celebrate, the display swells into a glowing 555, and the machine answers his win with a torrent of fire.

The action then jumps to deep space, where the pachinko Gunman and Enkidu square off against Gurren Lagann. Kamina takes the challenge first and proves hopeless, barely getting any balls up the chute. Yoko shoves him out of the seat, lands the activator almost instantly, and watches two nines come up before the center reel betrays her with a one. Simon then jams his Core Drill into the controls, flooding the field with balls and spinning the reels wildly; one surreal combination even conjures a duel between Kamina and Lordgenome. As the Spiral Gauge surges, the middle row locks onto triple sevens.

Kamina, Yoko, and Simon trade high fives over the jackpot while Leeron fishes a squirming Boota out of his collar. Even Viral is delighted, and he reaches out to give the pachinko Gunman its own high five just as it unleashes another blast. For the second time, Enkidu vanishes into a wall of flame.

Viral discovers the pachinko Gunman, wins a row of twos with apparent supernatural help from Adiane, and is rewarded with a fireball.

In the space rematch, Kamina fails outright, Yoko misses a triple nine by a single reel, and Simon supercharges the machine with his Core Drill to strike triple sevens.

Viral's attempt to join the celebration ends with Enkidu scorched a second time.

The reels assign a character to every number: Simon is one, Adiane two, Rossiu three, Thymilph four, Yoko five, Lordgenome six, Kamina seven, Viral eight, and Nia nine. Matching a pair triggers a short animation, such as Kamina lowering his sunglasses with a smirk or Nia clasping her hands amid floating hearts.

The machine itself is packed with series references. Its dials bear the Team Dai-Gurren emblem, the Dekabutsu sits above the reels, and the slot backdrop mirrors Lordgenome's throne room in Teppelin, complete with spiral-tipped pillars; a large blue light stands in for the moon. The left and central reels order their numbers ascending while the right reel runs descending.

Everyone present, and oddly Gurren Lagann itself, is drawn with a slightly altered face, including larger eyes. The video is also one of the rare occasions the franchise renders its mecha in 3D.
