Team Gurren (Parallel Works)

An alternate incarnation of Team Gurren appears in To Hell With Combining!, one of the Parallel Works music videos built on Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. The trio pilots the familiar Gurren Lagann type of Gunman in an altered look, and their emblem, a white four-pronged flaming skull with an open mouth, decorates the backplate of their silver Gurren.

The team's Lagann pilot, a tanned young man with red hair, materializes out of thin air to assault a band of cat-like Beastmen with his bare hands. When the enraged Beastmen board their Gunmen, he answers by using his own Core Drill to call up Lagann. A silver Gurren soon arrives to back him, flown by a brunette woman in glasses and a black jumpsuit, and after the Lagann pilot provokes the Beastman leader and his Dai-Gun, the two machines merge into an alternate Gurren Lagann.

Still outnumbered, the pair gains reinforcements from other humans in hijacked Gunmen and from a blonde woman flying a set of wings for Gurren Lagann. Combining once more with the wings, the three pilots finish off the Dai-Gun using a dual Giga Drill Break.

None of the three pilots is ever named. The Lagann pilot fights hand to hand before summoning his machine, the Gurren pilot arrives specifically to relieve him when he is overwhelmed, and the wing pilot sustains the battle just long enough for the finishing blow to land.
