Overview

The machine borrows its name from the Arc-Gurren that Rossiu Adai christened, and it forms the moment Simon locks that battleship together with his own Gurren-Lagann. The union is staggering in scale, with estimates placing it near five thousand meters given that it stands roughly alongside the Dekabutsu, and the Final Drill sequence scales it even further to a size many times that of Gurren Lagann itself. Like Lagann in its plainest state, this form carries no sunglasses on either of its faces.

Function

The combination is triggered to rescue Arc-Gurren when a pair of massive Mugann close in, and its first act tears an opening in the fabric of spacetime that hurls the fused enemies to oblivion. It later strains to hold the moon back from an early crash, and in the film retelling it snaps an arm off Cathedral Lazengann with a Giga Drill Break before punching its drill toward the moon's core. It cannot pierce Ashtanga's forcefield, yet it eventually transforms into the Ultra Spiral Powerplant that feeds Super Galaxy Gurren Lagann. Its named techniques include the Space-Time Shattering Burst Spinning Punch, which rips a hole in reality, the beam-firing Vortex Cannon Maximum, the film-only Arc-Gurren Lagann Giga Drill Break, and the Super Inazuma Drill Kick.
