A Rank 1 investigator and deputy leader of the Itou Squad, nicknamed Micchii, Shinji Michibata is a dependable, formally dressed agent whose life ends brutally in the crushing grip of the ghoul Noro during the Rose operation.
Michibata cut a solid, dependable figure, his face well-defined beneath a pair of drooping eyes. His dark hair was cropped short around a receding hairline, flanked by noticeable sideburns, and he was never seen out of a proper suit.
Details of his character are thin, though he plainly cared for the people he worked with and stepped into command without hesitation whenever no one else could.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....
Michibata first turned up with his unit during the Torso case, deployed to subdue the SS-rated Haise Sasaki after the young investigator lost control of his kagune. At the Luna Eclipse during the Rose operation, his squad merged with the Quinx and ran headlong into Noro. The ghoul overwhelmed them at once, killing Yasuhito Nezu and Masami Umeno outright and wounding the squad's leader, Kuramoto Itou. Michibata bandaged Itou, summoned a medical team, and helped the Quinx pin down what he knew to be one of the deadliest ghouls on record.
His relief was short-lived: Noro's severed lower half sprouted four tentacles that savaged the group and tore Michibata clean in two. He had shared an easy friendship with Itou, whom he first wrote off as scatterbrained before warming to his cheerful nature over drinks, and in the end he could not bring himself to abandon him. In combat he carried Agure, a bikaku quinque shaped like an ordinary sword, though he had little chance to show any real skill.
