Time for Terasaka

A student reflects on how far Class 3-E has come, climbing on the midterms, beating the school's elite baseball squad, and earning its own swimming pool, the very prize that soured Ryoma Terasaka on the group. His smirk gives way to Taiga Okajima bursting in and dragging everyone out to the pool. There the class finds the equipment smashed and Irina standing blank-faced, robbed of her swimsuit debut, while Manami Okuda spots trash dumped in the water. Nagisa notices Terasaka, Taisei Yoshida, and Takuya Muramatsu snickering off to the side, and Terasaka grabs him and snaps at him for assuming the trio did it. Korosensei appears beside them, agrees there is no need to hunt for a culprit, and simply repairs every piece of equipment so the students can keep swimming, leaving the three stunned. Karma needles the teacher with a water gun as Terasaka stalks off, stewing over how Korosensei has undone the worthless clique he once belonged to.

In the forest, Muramatsu suggests they rethink their attitude, noting the pool sabotage did nothing to rattle Korosensei and that isolating themselves is pointless. Terasaka then fishes a paper from Muramatsu's back pocket and finds a report card from a nationwide junior high mock exam. Flustered, Muramatsu admits he has been scoring better than ever thanks to Korosensei's intensive study sessions, which shatters an earlier pact among the three to ignore them. Enraged, Terasaka hurls him against a tree, brands him a traitor, and walks away. Back at school he overhears an excited voice and opens the classroom door to find Yoshida admiring a motorcycle Korosensei built from pool scrap wood, the two bonding over bikes that no one else at school cares for. Losing his temper, Terasaka stomps the motorcycle to pieces and is scolded by Yoshida and Rio Nakamura for making the teacher cry.

Terasaka answers by grabbing a can of bug killer off his desk and flinging it to the floor, filling the room with a cloud of pesticide. A now-irritated Korosensei grips his shoulder and warns that even pranks have their limits, but Terasaka slaps the tentacle aside and rails at everyone for getting cozy with the creature. Standing apart, Karma goads him to try killing Korosensei if he loathes him so much, then seizes his mouth and coldly advises him to shoot first and ask questions later. Fed up, Terasaka smacks the arm away and storms out, slamming the door behind him and leaving the class rattled.

That night, pouring a canister of liquid into the pool, Terasaka thinks he would rather just live his own life than fret over a doomed planet or claw his way out of being labeled a leftover. A figure applauds his work, having engineered the wrecked pool, the released pesticide, and the poisoned water. It is Shiro, who hands him one hundred thousand yen as payment while Itona Horibe perches on a nearby tree branch, exposing the sabotage as one piece of a larger plot against Korosensei. The chapter, titled Terasaka no Jikan, was published on June 10, 2013 in issue 28, runs eighteen pages, belongs to the sixth volume, Swimming Time, and was adapted in the anime within Episode 14, Vision Time.
