The fifty-second chapter sharpens the exam rivalry into something dangerous. Asano readies a list of humiliating penalties should Class E lose, one of which could expose their teacher's secret, while the headmaster vows to make the tests brutal.
In the fifty-second chapter, Gakushu Asano draws up fifty separate orders to impose on Class E should they lose the wager, and one of them would force the class to surrender its secrets, including what they know about Korosensei. That single condition lends the exams a hidden peril far beyond a question of ranking.
Korosensei urges his students to push their studying even further, again holding out his tentacles as the reward for placing first, while the headmaster guarantees the coming tests will be as punishing as he can make them. With the terms locked in, Class E steps onto the battlefield of the term's final examinations.
