Coordinated Efforts

Coordinated Efforts marks the Coalition of Planets unleashing its all-out offensive on the Viltrum Empire, striking first at the empire's occupied worlds. It stands as one of two events that usher in the final phase of the Viltrumite War, the climactic reckoning between the Coalition and the Viltrumites. Cut off from the group after an earlier attack, Allen and Tech Jacket hide beneath a Viltrumite warship as both factions ready themselves for the fight ahead.

On Talescria, warship fleets launch alongside soldiers equipped with weapons built from intelligence the Coalition had gathered over decades, and Thaedus rouses them with a speech that frames the coming deaths as a small price against Viltrum's eventual ruin. Thragg answers with his own address to the empire's warriors and enslaved legions, declaring failure impossible and vowing to finish what Viltrum began before invoking Argall's creed, "All is ours." Open war ignites as a lone Viltrumite woman charges a Coalition vessel. On Glacia Prime, Kregg orders Kradd and Lucan to defend a conquered world, giving Allen and Tech Jacket the opening they need to break cover and rejoin the fight. The two Viltrumites intercept them, but Tech Jacket's retreat proves to be a ruse: Space Racer emerges and fires the Infinity Ray straight through Kradd and his cruiser, killing him and destroying the ship. Lucan flees, the world is liberated, and Space Racer breaks off alone toward fortified enemy outposts. Over the following months, with Battle Beast, Space Racer, Allen, and Tech Jacket leading the charge, the Coalition frees planet after planet, though mounting casualties strain its leadership.

Furious at the losses, Thragg learns many enslaved worlds have slipped from the empire's grasp, and Kregg admits their counterattacks have failed and left Viltrum on the defensive. Refusing to concede, Thragg reminds him that an agent still hides on the Coalition's homeworld. Kregg departs to set the plan in motion, and Thragg turns to Argall's skull, swearing to strike at the very heart of his enemy and restore the empire to its former power.
