Depth Dweller

The Depth Dweller is an enormous ocean creature whose big forearms end in threatening pincers. A lure shaped like an oddly cute, almost person-sized seahorse dangles from a line on her brow, and just below it sit three eyes. A broad blue shell wraps most of her bulk, leaving a white underside exposed.

How long the beast sat chained in that trench is unclear, whether it dates to the reign of the former king Aquarus or to some other time entirely. Ruling with a firmer grip than her late husband held, Queen Aquaria chose to wield the monster as a tool of punishment.

She loosed it on Mark in payback for Omni-Man murdering King Aquarus, and it drew blood from him quickly. When Cecil fired missiles to intervene, one strike freed a chain, and the creature turned on the Atlanteans, killing several before Mark stepped in, rescued the queen, overpowered the Depth Dweller, and sent her back down into the depths.

Her strength lets her stand toe to toe with Invincible, batting him aside and felling several Atlanteans with single blows, though on loose sand her pincers cannot find purchase. She is remarkably tough as well, shrugging off three missiles entirely and only cracking under Invincible's punches once he strikes the same weakened spot on her chest plate.

Built for the ocean depths, she can loose ringing sound waves from her mouth that leave Mark suspended in the water and clutching his ears in pain, and her seahorse lure is strong enough to snare him and haul him downward.
