Revenge of the Flaxans

Revenge of the Flaxans marks the dimension-hopping race's fourth attempt to seize Earth, launched in retaliation for the devastation Omni-Man once inflicted on them. The Flaxans experience time far faster than Earth does, so the brief span since their last defeat amounted to centuries for them, ample time to rebuild and rearm. The assault becomes the starting point of Robot's extended, unplanned exile within the enemy's home dimension.

During an earlier third invasion, the Flaxan Leader had overpowered Invincible and the Teen Team before Omni-Man arrived and tore through the outmatched forces. Omni-Man followed the Leader across the divide, delivered a chilling warning, and then leveled their cities, wiping out much of their civilization before escaping through a portal he forced their scientists to open. Generations later the rebuilt Flaxans returned to Chicago, now carrying troop transports, capture collars, mech suits capable of challenging a Viltrumite, and a hidden emitter that shielded them from their own accelerated time.

When the Guardians of the Globe and Invincible joined the fight, mech suits immediately swarmed Invincible while endless reinforcements kept the Guardians pinned. Against Brit's advice, Robot and Monster Girl crossed into the Flaxan Dimension, freed the captured humans, and destroyed the emitter, leaving the enemy exposed to their rapid aging. Robot then discovered that the Flaxans had amassed a far larger army and called for backup, but a single soldier destroyed the gateway before help could arrive.

With the portal gone, Robot and Monster Girl are sealed inside the enemy dimension for the foreseeable future, an outcome that eventually reshapes Earth's history through the events of Robot's Pilgrimage. The clash overlaps with other ongoing crises, including the Sequid attacks and the Reign of Titan storyline. It stands as the latest chapter in a long rivalry that began with the Flaxans' original, failed incursions.
