Season 3

Greenlit back in 2021 alongside the second season, the third season of Invincible began on February 6, 2025, releasing its first three episodes at once and then one per week until March 13, 2025. Its eight installments, numbered seventeen through twenty-four, run from You're Not Laughing Now to I Thought You'd Never Shut Up. The season pushes Mark to reckon with his past and his future while learning how far he must go to shield the people he cares about. Unlike the previous run, it carries no midseason break, and it debuts a new costume that Robert Kirkman framed as part of Mark's darker arc.

The main cast returns with Steven Yeun, J.K. Simmons, Sandra Oh, and Gillian Jacobs, now joined by Christian Convery as an older Oliver Grayson. A wave of new faces enters the story, including Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Conquest, Aaron Paul as Powerplex, Jonathan Banks as Brit, and Kate Mara as Becky Duvall. The season adapts the Invincible War and its fallout, bringing the destructive rampage of Invincible variants and the arrival of the fearsome Viltrumite warrior Conquest. Amazon renewed the show for a fifth season on July 17, 2025.

Kirkman described this season as far more mature and grim than what came before, digging into Powerplex's tragedy, the Viltrumites' near-extinction secret, Cecil's origins and worldview, and Rex Splode's backstory. It reintroduces Multi-Paul, incorporates characters from other Image Comics titles once considered off-limits, and marks the conclusion of Rex Splode's arc. The finale brings back Damien Darkblood to set up a storyline never before adapted, while Mark and Atom Eve at last become a committed couple.
