Sequids Attack Earth

The Sequids Attack Earth continues the alien parasites' campaign to conquer the planet and its people. After Rus Livingston appeared to be freed from their grip, a single Sequid had actually survived inside his body and slowly reasserted control. Possessing him once again, the creature began multiplying and taking over new hosts. Following a wider outbreak that presumably destroyed Rus's apartment, the collective retreated underground and established a foothold within the city's sewer systems to keep spreading and regrouping.

Over several days the Sequids quietly captured and infected a growing number of humans, gathering their controlled hosts around Rus, who declared that their plan was nearing completion. When two construction workers descended into the tunnels to investigate reported pipe disturbances, they noticed the eerie absence of rats and a strange, darting figure in the dark. One man was suddenly dragged into the water and infected, then resurfaced to pull his coworker under as well. The scene widened to reveal a swelling mass of Sequid-controlled hosts, with Rus at the center announcing that the time had come.

This marks the second full Sequid invasion, following their earlier attempt to overrun Earth. Both Atom Eve and Robot had been infected during the previous confrontation, leaving it uncertain whether they might be taken again as Rus was. The threat had also been foreshadowed repeatedly in earlier seasons, from the Martian Emperor's warning that a single infected human host could doom Mars and then Earth, to astronauts debating the danger the creatures posed. The full-scale attack itself remains to be detailed.
