Overview
Within Hell, Cerberus ranks as a formidable warden of the Under Realm. It first served as keeper of that realm's gateway, until Volcanikka's climb to power saw the molten crown of Satan thrown down into the Bottomless Pit.
Role
The beast is a towering thing topped by three heads, every one lit with glowing eyes and lined with jagged fangs, and it wields a massive, powerful tail. Cast into the pit after failing to keep Volcanikka from discarding the crown, its overwhelming strength made retrieving that crown all but impossible for any dweller of the realm. The stalemate broke when Damien Darkblood brought Invincible down to the pit; there Invincible overpowered the guardian and ended its long vigil. The design nods to the three-headed hound of Greek myth, likewise named Cerberus, that stood guard at the gates of the underworld.
