Dinosaurs

Dinosaurs are the great reptiles that reigned in the age before humankind. In the primary reality an impact roughly 66 million years back triggered a mass die-off that erased them, clearing the way for humans to rise. A separate universe took a different turn, one where the creatures endured and pushed people to the brink instead.

In that alternate world the dinosaurs hold the top spot and hunt humans nearly to extinction, prizing their flesh as a delicacy. When Angstrom Levy flung Invincible into this dimension during the events of I Thought You Were Stronger, he found dinosaurs living beside humans yet eager to devour them. The creatures there had grown intelligent and could even talk.

The sight of a living human stunned a nearby group, who assumed the species long gone and puzzled over his flight, guessing at invisible wings. One among them pushed to keep him alive for study while the rest preferred to make a meal of him, before Invincible was pulled back to his own reality. In the main timeline, meanwhile, the scientist David Anders mutated himself into Dinosaurus while researching the animals.

The alternate-reality dinosaurs go unnamed, an ambiguous crowd rather than named individuals, aligned only with themselves and set against Invincible. Their sole appearance closes out the second season.
