A reptile-themed supervillain terror group long dismissed as a joke yet repeatedly proving deadly, feuding through shifting leadership under Queen, King, and Supreme Lizard until a disastrous nuclear-silo raid wiped out its core.
The Lizard League is a reptile-themed band of supervillain terrorists, longtime opponents of hero teams like the Fight Force and the Guardians of the Globe. Mocked online as a punchline, the group has shown time and again that it is far more dangerous than its reputation suggests.
The League has existed for many years, its exact origins lost, clashing with one hero team after another. An early scheme saw Dr. Elias Brandyworth feed them intelligence about a serum inside a government lab so they would create a diversion, only for the Guardians and eventually Omni-Man to drive them off. They later crushed the Fight Force with ease, then tangled with the new Guardians over a weapon that transformed civilians into snakes, an incident that left many bystanders harmed and ultimately landed King Lizard in a Global Defense Agency cell. His imprisonment let Supreme Lizard seize command, until King Lizard returned, gunned him down mid-speech, and reclaimed the group along with an army of hundreds of mind-controlled humans.
The League's downfall came at a Wyoming nuclear silo, which they stormed while the strongest heroes were off-world facing a Sequid invasion. A brutal fight followed as Dupli-Kate's clones, Rex Splode, and Shrinking Rae took on Komodo Dragon, Iguana, and Salamander. Rae killed Salamander before being swallowed and digested, Rex destroyed Iguana and Komodo Dragon with his explosive charges, and though King Lizard shot Rex in the head, the hero rose again to beat him to death before collapsing. With its leader and enforcers gone, the Lizard League was effectively finished.
Three figures have held the top spot: Queen Lizard, now missing, followed by the rival claimants King Lizard and Supreme Lizard, both of whom died. The rank and file included Iguana, Komodo Dragon, Salamander, Gecko, and Gila Monster, with Dr. Elias Brandyworth once serving as an ally. Writers built the team from the long comic tradition of serpent-themed villain outfits such as Marvel's Serpent Society and Hydra and DC's Kobra Cult, with Supreme Lizard styled as a clear parody of Serpentor. Below the leadership, the group's ordinary soldiers appear to be controlled through lobotomy or mind-control helmets, betrayed by their blank eyes and bleeding noses.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....
The Lizard League is a reptile themed group of supervillain terrorists in Invincible, longtime rivals of hero teams like the Fight Force and the Guardians of the Globe. Though it is often mocked online as a joke, the League has repeatedly proven far more dangerous than its reputation suggests.
The Lizard League is stronger than its reputation implies, having crushed the Fight Force with ease and clashed with multiple hero teams over the years. Its power comes largely from numbers, mind controlled soldiers, and dangerous leaders like King Lizard, though the group was ultimately destroyed in a failed raid on a Wyoming nuclear silo.
The Lizard League has had three known leaders: Queen Lizard, who is now missing, and the rival claimants King Lizard and Supreme Lizard, both of whom were eventually killed. King Lizard shot Supreme Lizard mid speech to reclaim command before later dying himself during the group's final raid.
The Lizard League's downfall came during a raid on a Wyoming nuclear silo, launched while Earth's strongest heroes were fighting a Sequid invasion off world. Dupli-Kate's clones, Rex Splode, and Shrinking Rae defeated the group's enforcers, and Rex ultimately beat King Lizard to death, effectively ending the organization.
Notable members of the Lizard League include the rank and file villains Iguana, Komodo Dragon, Salamander, Gecko, and Gila Monster, alongside its leaders Queen Lizard, King Lizard, and Supreme Lizard. Dr. Elias Brandyworth also once served the group as an outside ally.
