Relonians

Of the countless worlds devoured by the Viltrum Empire, the Relonians rank among the rare few bold enough to push back. Their humanoid bodies run through a spread of skin tones, from green to blue to deep yellow, set off by four horns across the head and jaw and by thick canine teeth thrusting from the lower jaw. Almost nothing remains of how they lived before conquest, though standing up to a vastly stronger master marks them as a stubbornly brave people.

When Viltrumite expansion swept over the planet Relonia, its natives were subdued and driven into forced labor beneath relentless watch. A Viltrumite man and his mate drew the assignment of supervising a crew forced to fill tanks with a purple liquid. Watching for their chance, the workers wired a grenade to one tank and fled, and the explosion that followed killed both guards. Word of it reached the Viltrumite Council, where Kregg argued for stamping out the Relonians before a fresh revolt took shape. Thaedus countered him, laying the unrest at the feet of the Empire's own cruelty and calling for measured restraint that might even boost compliance, a view that pitted him against Thragg, who saw the uprising as an affront begging for brutal punishment. Emperor Argall chose to slash the population down to a quarter, or erase it outright should the resistance carry on, and waved off every plea Thaedus made.

Not one individual Relonian is ever named; the species shows up purely as a collective, glimpsed in a lone fourth-season flashback and created specifically for the television version. Their probable extinction feeds straight into the wider run of events that follows, pointing toward the Great Purge, the killing of Emperor Argall, and the release of the Scourge Virus.
