Squidmen

The Squidmen are an outlaw crew based on Earth who serve as small-scale villains across Season 2. Their look is unmistakable: grey heads shaped like a squid sit atop bodies whose arms taper into tentacles ending in a pair of fingers. Uniforms come in blue and black, cinched with a dark belt hung with pouches and gear. Some members display mutation, the clearest case being their boss, whose pink hide and oversized frame set him apart from the rank and file.

As a criminal outfit, the Squidmen turn up when there is loot to grab. In Season 2 the gang tries to cut its way into a vault using a laser rig. Rex Splode drops in and trades blows with Octoboss, and the brawl swings decisively once Invincible arrives to lend a hand. With the two heroes putting Octoboss and his crew down, the Global Defense Agency rolls in to take the whole group into custody.

Octoboss commands the gang, marked out from his followers by his mutated pink skin and much larger build. Beneath him serve a range of ordinary Squidmen who make up the bulk of the group. The design of the crew draws on the Skarka Tribe from Marvel Comics.
