The one hundred sixty-third chapter settles Nagisa's ambition. Worn out from their global photo spree, he commits to becoming a teacher like Korosensei, just as Karasuma signals the government to strike the empty campus with its new satellite weapon.
The whirlwind trip across the world leaves both Class 3-E and Korosensei gasping and drained. Reflecting privately, Nagisa realizes he has slowly stopped seeing his teacher as a kill and started viewing him as a devoted educator instead.
During a tutoring session with Sakura Kiyashiki, Nagisa reads the unease that grips her as she anticipates returning to a school where bullying might resume. He presses two fingers to her neck and reassures her, cheered when the gesture visibly restores her confidence. At last, in career counseling, he tells Korosensei that he wants to teach just as his mentor does. Delighted, Korosensei urges him to make the most of his youth while it lasts.
Korosensei and Karasuma then briefly discuss the yearbook, with Karasuma insisting the finished book carry some educational value. Stepping outside, Karasuma reports to his superiors that Korosensei is now alone, and they respond by firing a laser from their newly deployed satellite weapon down onto the campus.
Nagisa admits he now sees Korosensei as a teacher rather than a target and calms Sakura with his read on her fear. He formally declares his wish to become a teacher, winning Korosensei's approval. Karasuma then signals the government, which fires its satellite laser at the campus.
