Mudi Nemda holds the rank of Brigadier General and heads the Military Police across the Hiessgart Region. Exclusive to the game Fullmetal Alchemist and the Broken Angel, he cuts the figure of a self-important officer who has bent nearly the entire regional army to his personal will.
Personality
Grasping and relentlessly ambitious, Nemda hoards authority and has all but privatized his forces in pursuit of a domain he intends to call the Nemda Kingdom. His role mostly furnishes comic relief while also acting as a red herring in the mystery unfolding at New Hiessgart. He dotes on his 'precious' chimera to an almost absurd degree.
History
Aware that Professor Eiselstein and his assistant Greta Riddel are running alchemy the military would condemn, Nemda agrees to shield their work in return for a Combat Chimera. When that creature turns on Armony Eiselstein, Edward and Alphonse are forced to destroy it, and Nemda demands both brothers hang before Colonel Mustang defuses the moment by suggesting Edward simply be arrested and court-martialed.
Late in the tale, Greta persuades Nemda that Eiselstein has broken their bargain, prompting him to march his attack chimera on the professor's fortified home. In her closing report, Riza Hawkeye notes that Nemda himself faced court-martial for trying to seize control of the Amestrian military within New Hiessgart, a fitting irony given that he had briefly meant to do the very same to Edward.
