Satomi Kōrogi is a Tokyo-born Japanese actress, voice actress and narrator with Production Baobab who gave voice to Nina Tucker, one of the most heartbreaking figures in the original Fullmetal Alchemist anime.
Kōrogi voiced Nina Tucker in the original 2003 Fullmetal Alchemist series, playing the young daughter of researcher Shou Tucker whose story becomes one of the show's most devastating early turns. The role sits apart from the comedic and family-friendly parts that make up most of her catalogue, and it remains one of her most discussed dramatic performances among Japanese fans. When Brotherhood retold the same arc in 2009, a different actress took over the character.
Kōrogi is widely recognized for playing Chi in Chi's Sweet Home and Himawari Nohara in Crayon Shin-chan, and within the Pokémon franchise she has voiced Misty's Togepi and Togetic, Ritchie's Pikachu nicknamed Sparky, and Casey's Chikorita line during the Johto arc, work she performs in both the Japanese and English dubs. Other credits include Goma-chan from Shonen Ashibe and the character May in the Guilty Gear fighting game series.
