Overview

The Dai-Guns are Gunmen of battleship scale, built large enough to ferry other Gunmen within their hulls and to bring heavy weaponry to bear. Four of them were handed out, one apiece, to the four beast Generals, while three answered to Lordgenome himself, namely the Dekabutsu, the Cathedral Terra (renamed the Choginga Dai-Gurren in time), and the Arc-Gurren.

Function

Their original purpose was to hold off the Anti-Spirals. As glimpsed in the eighth Parallel Works short, many once existed, yet only a single example of each type remains once the first war against the Anti-Spirals has passed. Between transport, firepower, and their sheer mass, they anchor the largest engagements of the setting.
