History

Murky Darkness came out of the Ninja Village's thirty-fifth graduating class, called Chosen, before signing on with the Heavenly Ninja Party. In the Ninjas Arc, the group leans on Speed-o'-Sound Sonic to help them settle their score with Flash. Once Sonic draws Flash into a forest and the two square off, the party breaks in and joins the fray. Blast then intervenes to halt the fight and teleports everyone to Sonic's hideout, where Saitama has already toppled the Ninja Village leader.

There, Darkness and his comrades look on as Byakko and Genbu turn up only to be beaten by Blast and Empty Void. The party makes a bid to claim Saitama as their master, and after a flat refusal, Darkness decides with the others to shadow him instead. His training gives him speed and reflexes well beyond an ordinary person's, and he fights with a sword he handles with skill. His signature craft is a ninjutsu for bending shadows, letting him melt out of sight within them.
