Chapter 13

Cornered by Yuri's demand for proof that the marriage is genuine, Loid moves in to kiss Yor, who panics and empties a bottle of wine to steady her nerves, leaving herself thoroughly drunk. Loid whispers that they can find some other way, but she refuses, silences her heckling brother with a thrown fork, and tells Loid to shut his eyes.

Watching them, Yuri is flooded with memories of the sister who raised him and the childhood wish to marry her, and he cannot bear to see the kiss happen. He hurls himself between the two, and a mortified Yor swings a slap intended for Loid that lands on her brother instead, launching him across the room hard enough to briefly wake Anya. Bloodied, Yuri decides the blow was punishment for interrupting and concedes the night.

Neither drunken sibling can stay upright, so Loid props them both up and tells them honestly how much their devotion to one another impresses him. He thanks Yuri for the years spent protecting Yor and pledges his own support for her going forward. Flustered, Yuri storms out with a half-swallowed threat about execution should Loid ever make his sister cry.

Loid then sweeps the apartment and confirms Yuri left no listening devices behind. Yor thanks him for embracing her brother as family, and he admits a flicker of envy, having no one but Anya himself. The pair suddenly remember the single bed staged for the visit and hastily agree to sleep apart. Reading a Spy Wars comic later, Loid wonders when he last envied anyone and catches himself calling the next day family time before correcting it to his mission. Across town, a swaying, blood-streaked Yuri asks passersby the way to the station and is urged to find a hospital instead.

Yor's attempt to kiss Loid collapses when Yuri physically blocks it, and her drunken slap bloodies her brother rather than her husband.

Loid wins a sliver of grudging tolerance from Yuri by praising the siblings' bond and vowing to look after Yor.

A post-visit sweep turns up no surveillance in the apartment, and Loid privately registers his growing envy of genuine family ties.

Mission 13 runs 21 pages, appears in Volume 3, and belongs to the Secret Police Arc. It was published on September 9, 2019, with Loid and Yor on the cover, and its events reach the anime in Episode 9. The chapter illustration playfully references Jason Voorhees of the Friday the 13th films, matching the chapter's number.
