Summary

A gash across Tsukiyama's eyes barely slows him. Touka Kirishima admits she had been quietly trailing Nishiki and Kaneki, resolved now to bring the Gourmet down and pull Kaneki free. Noting that her ambush left him untouched, Tsukiyama remarks how much steadier she has grown since she was only fourteen.

Their clash gives Kaneki an opening to plant a kick on the Gourmet's face, and Tsukiyama observes that the two fight as if their movements were in tune. He answers by snapping Kaneki's arm and driving a hand clean through his midsection. Sampling the blood, Tsukiyama savors a flavor unlike anything he has tasted, richer than he had anticipated.

Touka lunges once more, but the Gourmet's kagune spears her through the stomach as he scolds her for spoiling his supper.
