Green Day

One of the deadliest Stands in Vento Aureo, Green Day serves the merciless physician Cioccolata as a Close-Range Stand. Its humanoid frame is streaked with dark lines and topped by cylinders that leak a constant, fog-like haze. Artists never reveal its lower half in the manga, though the PlayStation 2 game gives it a legless, slug-like base and the anime grants it human legs. It is green throughout every version, matching its name. Whatever personality it holds stays largely hidden, yet it grinned as it shoved Giorno from a helicopter to his apparent doom, hinting that it shares its master's cruelty.

The Stand's signature weapon is a virulent mold that rots and consumes flesh almost instantly, seeping into the air from tubes along its head, shoulders and hands. The infection only blooms when a target lowers their altitude, a rule that governs each limb separately, so anyone caught in the area must climb or stay perfectly still to survive. The lower a person sinks, the quicker the rot spreads: someone flat on the ground can be devoured in seconds, while rising back up halts the growth before it kills. The mold attacks every living thing without discrimination, whether human, animal or plant, but spares corpses, inanimate matter and Stands. Because it leaps from body to body, its range is effectively limitless in a crowded area. A concealed trick lets Cioccolata plant the mold inside his own flesh, sealing wounds and letting him dismember himself, then steer and reassemble the severed pieces at will.

Cioccolata is the wielder of Green Day, and despite its raw combat strength he leans on deceit and the mold to win his fights. Paired with his partner Secco's Stand, Oasis, the two form a lethal team, since Secco can drive victims down into the earth and accelerate the mold's deadly bloom.
