Heaven's Door

Heaven's Door is the Stand of the mangaka Rohan Kishibe, appearing in Diamond is Unbreakable along with the one-shot tales collected as Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan. Introduced at first as a bare ability, it later gains a full body shaped like a small boy who echoes Rohan's own comic character, Pink Dark Boy, dressed in a long buttoned coat, a bow tie and a flat-brimmed hat, with lines streaking down from its eyes. Most versions color it white with golden outlines, save the OVA, which uses blue. Early on the power activates when a target sees the Stand or an image of it that Rohan sketches in the air, with a pen or a finger, so shutting one's eyes or being too enraged to register the drawing grants immunity, though later Rohan can simply summon it and walk up to people.

At its core the Stand turns a person into a book, pages peeling out of the body in the shape of whichever part they open from. Those pages hold complete, unfailingly honest records of the subject: their looks, their character, every memory and thought from first to last, plus a rundown of any Stand they happen to wield. Rohan has even read a chicken leg to learn its expiry date, though he cannot read his own past or anything a target knows about him. By tearing pages out he strips away the memories written there along with a matching amount of body weight, and those pages fly back if he is badly hurt or knocked out. Writing into the pages is more dangerous still: he can rewrite or delete memories and plant commands the victim obeys without fail, even ones that defy sense, such as sending Josuke flying backward or letting Koichi speak fluent Italian. A favorite is his Safety Lock, an order that forbids a target from attacking him. Because the change is physical, Rohan can also exploit it, unravelling Okuyasu's limbs or flattening a body flat enough to slip between two speeding trains.

Rohan Kishibe is the Stand's principal user, prizing it as an effortless way to mine strangers' pasts for story material. Ken Oyanagi briefly seizes a third of Heaven's Door with his own Stand, Boy II Man, and gains the power to cancel Rohan's written commands. Araki has remarked that if he could own any Stand himself, it would be this one.
