Magician's Red

This Stand holds the distinction of being the first fully revealed in the entire series, its face shown even before Star Platinum's. Avdol was born already carrying it, and it has stood loyally at his side for his whole life, obeying without hesitation. Its aggressive, unforgiving temperament reflects the willpower and beginnings symbolized by its tarot card.

In shape it is a muscular humanoid crowned with the head of a bird, its feathered legs often wreathed in fire. Claws replace its fingernails, dark bands sit at both wrists, and its footwear shifts from bare feet to Arabian shoes across the story. Its look draws on the god Horus as rendered in Enki Bilal's Nikopol Trilogy.

Magician's Red trades versatility for raw combat force. Its own body is potent enough that a single kick can crack armor Silver Chariot could not, and by sheathing its limbs in flame it drives its strength higher still. It moves faster than its bulk suggests and controls its fire with exacting finesse, even shaping heat into a convincing decoy of itself.

The heart of its power is pyrokinesis. Avdol conjures flames hot enough to vaporize incoming metal and reduce rails to slag, then bends them at will into any shape or intensity. Being a Stand's product, the fire stays invisible to ordinary people, who only feel its heat, yet water can still douse it. Its named techniques include the Cross Fire Hurricane, a barrage of flaming ankhs launched from its mouth; Red Bind, ropes of fire that pin a foe and burn away the air until they suffocate; and Life Detector, a cross-shaped heat radar that points toward a living target in six directions.

Muhammad Avdol, the Egyptian fortune-teller who joins Jotaro's group, is the sole wielder. His inventive command of the flames earns high praise from Joseph Joestar, though the Stand's reliance on heat signatures ultimately leaves Avdol vulnerable to Vanilla Ice, who moves outside ordinary space.
