Survivor

Survivor is a Stand handed to Guccio through Whitesnake in Stone Ocean, and DIO brands it the weakest of all Stands while warning it is still a real handful. It appears as a swarm of small, flat, round creatures, each with two eyes, a little mouth, and a fringe of tentacles ringing its body. Both the manga and anime render the swarm yellow with red eyes.

Survivor runs automatically and answers to no one, existing only to sow chaos by turning people against each other in hopes its targets kill themselves off. Creeping along wet surfaces, it feeds a faint 0.07-volt charge into the human limbic system, a current small enough to be harmless on its own yet enough to inflame anger and fighting spirit. Any trace of hostility swells until those affected brawl with total abandon, as when the guard Sonny Likir hit a comrade hard enough to tear away flesh and bare his own knuckles, and victims soon chase confrontation no matter the cost.

The rage also sharpens them into far deadlier fighters, since they shrug off pain and fear to focus purely on hurting their foes, pulling off nearly inhuman feats and countering blow for blow. Those under its sway even gain the sight to read an opponent's muscles, strong areas glowing like stars while weak points darken. Guccio himself stays immune, because his own knack for setting people fighting already lines up with what the Stand does.

The Stand first stirred under an unnamed mountain lodge owner, whose rage over hikers mocking his body odor set it off and drove a lost party of six in the Lorraine region of France to butcher one another in 1982. It later comes to Guccio, granted to him by Whitesnake.
