Akari Hirai is a minor figure from the Diamond is Unbreakable novel The Book: 4th Another Day. An office clerk who uncovers her lover's fraud, she is thrown from a rooftop and trapped in an alley, where she gives birth and ultimately gives her life to save her son.
Akari is an attractive young woman of medium build, her long hair a dark black.
Raised in a poor farming household, Akari chafed against her rural roots and fled to the city to study and work, embarrassed by where she came from. A streak of naivete runs through her, evident when she agreed to meet a man alone on a rooftop even after being warned he was dangerous and after revealing what she knew to him.
Yet she proves remarkably resilient, clinging to hope through months trapped in an alley. In her final stretch she leaned on the presence of her unborn child, telling herself she was never truly alone, and in the end she sacrificed herself so that the boy could live.
Akari grew up in Morioh while it was still a country town, uninterested in its past and desperate not to spend her life on a farm. She left to find work, failed, and returned to discover the town had flourished in her absence. Taking a clerk's post at a home-sales office, she moved into a small apartment near the station and fell for a young architect named Teruhiko Okami.
A call from Hanae Orikasa warned her that Teruhiko was secretly selling defective houses, and Akari found the money he had made from the scheme. She confronted him on the company roof, where he strangled her and pushed her off. She survived the fall into a gap between two buildings but was pinned there by his Stand, Memory of Jet. When his poison failed and she revealed she alone knew where his money was hidden, he kept her alive, threatening her parents should she cry for help.
She then discovered she was pregnant with his child; though she considered ending the pregnancy out of hatred, she chose to carry it. After giving birth in the gap and confirming the baby had been taken safely to an orphanage, she told Teruhiko the money had been beside her all along. He collected it and abandoned her, never returning, and Akari soon died of exhaustion.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....
