Appearance

Personality

Greed and cruelty define Benjamin, who murders rival racers without hesitation to seize an advantage and the prize money. He is loud and abusive, forever berating his sons, L. A. most of all, and speaking bitterly of the wife he believes betrayed and abandoned the family. Though he will throw his Stand up as a shield to guard his boys, that protectiveness has limits; he leaves a wounded, groaning Andre behind without a second thought.

History

Benjamin heads the Boom Boom Family and fathered Andre and L. A. He claims that a childhood fall off a cliff broke his jaw, after which he trudged five kilometers home. His wife eventually left, most likely running off with another man judging by his contempt for her. Sometime before the Steel Ball Run, the three surviving Boom Booms picked up their shared Stand, Tomb of the Boom, while prospecting for mines inside a Devil's Palm, as Mountain Tim later works out. The Stand lets each of them bend iron; Benjamin buries metal fragments under his skin to alter his look and conceal weapons.

An unnamed client from the Kingdom of Naples pays to have Gyro Zeppeli killed, so Benjamin enters the race with his sons to chase the bounty. Their first-stage killing spree claims three racers and draws the eye of Mountain Tim, a fellow competitor who also serves as sheriff and bounty hunter. After Andre tricks Gyro and Johnny Joestar into becoming human magnets, Benjamin and L. A. strike but fail to finish them, though Benjamin cleverly spatters Andre's blood onto Johnny to keep the magnetic curse alive.

Taking on Johnny's identity, Benjamin magnetizes Mountain Tim too, scheming to force all three victims together so the family's pull will crush them. Tim slips the trap by roping himself to a rock with Oh! Lonesome Me, dragging Benjamin into close combat. He nearly succeeds in bunching his enemies up, but Johnny awakens Tusk at the final instant and slices him in two.
