Ordinary in both stature and build, he dresses in a fleecy patchwork toga paired with wristbands and a spiked, Pickelhaube-style helmet that mirrors the military look of his own Stand. A single patch covers one eye for reasons never made clear, since the eye beneath it turns out to be perfectly normal once it is finally glimpsed during his clash with Foo Fighters.

For most of his appearances he keeps a blank, unreadable expression, though the crimes that landed him in prison suggest a cruel and murderous streak underneath. That composure shatters the instant Guccio's ribs tear off his arm, when he dissolves into helpless, childlike wailing that startles even his Stand and leaves him defenseless right up to his death. Officials hold him in the maximum-security ward partly for his own protection, since word of an ex-cop among the general population would quickly get him killed.

Back in 1999 he worked as a police officer gripped by Nostradamus and the prophecy of doom arriving with the new millennium. Certain the end was near, he shot several people as the year turned, and once the panic subsided he was arrested and given twenty years at Green Dolphin Street Prison. Whether Pucci handed him his Stand or it developed on its own is never confirmed. Tasked alongside Kenzou with eliminating Jolyne, he seizes on the chaos caused by Survivor and DIO's bone to touch Guccio's shoulder and spring a trap; Guccio's own ribs burst from his chest and impale his arm, leaving him unresponsive. Being automatic, Yo-Yo Ma keeps attacking Jolyne and Anasui regardless, until Foo Fighters hunts him down and decapitates him despite Pucci trying to hold her back. His Stand is a long-range humanoid that can speak and handle delicate tasks yet is physically weak, and its saliva is intensely corrosive.
