Emporio Alniño

Emporio is a slight but wiry boy of eleven, with light curly hair and pale yellow-brown eyes. He is nearly always seen in a striped baseball uniform of the sort worn by the Chicago Cubs, cap included.

At first Emporio comes across as timid and awkward, reluctant to be drawn into any fight. As he keeps aiding the heroes, though, he is steadily pulled into the conflict himself, proving his worth by digging up information on their enemies with his computer and by tucking Jolyne away in his ghost room whenever she is cornered.

He rarely manages to strike back when caught in danger. The great exception comes in his final clash with Pucci, when the borrowed power of Weather Report finally lets him take the offensive.

Emporio was born to an unnamed inmate inside Green Dolphin Street Prison and has lived there in secret ever since, sustained by his Stand, which takes the form of a hidden ghost room. Pucci murdered his mother and stole her memory and Stand DISC, leaving her to slowly waste away, so the boy keeps a fragment of her remains both as a keepsake and as a shield against Pucci's Whitesnake. For a long time the priest never suspects he exists, and Emporio comes to trust Weather Report and Narciso Anasui enough to let them dwell inside his spectral chamber.

When Jotaro Kujo arranges to visit Jolyne, Emporio warns her away, sensing the danger stalking the prison, and hands her his mother's bone, which later frees her from an enemy Stand's dream. He becomes her steady partner, tracking down Jotaro's stolen DISCs, keeping watch on Ermes Costello, and mapping routes through the facility. His usefulness shows again and again: he coaches Ermes on how to finish Thunder McQueen, and when Miuccia Miuller's Jail House Lock strips away short-term memory, he identifies her as the head warden and prints her image in binary so Jolyne can defeat her.

The group's flight across Florida keeps testing him. During the helicopter escape he deduces that the invisible skyfish drain body heat, a warning that lets Jolyne overcome Rikiel, and later, trapped in the memory of a doomed flight by Donatello Versus, he pulls the crash records and reads out the surviving seat positions so his friends can escape. Entrusted with Jotaro's memory DISC, he becomes a target as the fight moves toward Cape Canaveral, where Pucci awakens C-Moon and then Made in Heaven, accelerating time and killing Jotaro, Ermes, Anasui, and Jolyne one by one while Emporio slips away.

In the reset universe that follows, Pucci hunts the boy through an alternate Green Dolphin Street Prison, meaning to erase the last obstacle to his design. As Emporio flees into the crack leading to his ghost room, Pucci inadvertently pushes the Weather Report DISC into him, exploiting the blind spot Jolyne opened by slicing the priest's eye. Now armed, Emporio turns the power against its wielder: Weather Report floods the room with pure oxygen, and the accelerated time speeds Pucci's poisoning until he collapses and is beaten to death, told that he has lost to fate, which walks the path of justice. When time reaches its next singularity, Emporio is carried into a fresh world where he meets Irene, the reincarnation of Jolyne, along with counterparts of Anasui, Ermes, and Weather Report, and joins them, moved to find that the Joestar bloodline endures.
